June 06 May day!!!Hi Dean & Reese
This is Dad, Jodi's had to go out somewhere with Jason. We had a busy Mad May with the after effect of Jodi's birthday late April, Mother's Day, my birthday and Mum's 60th birthday. She's a Senior now, sent off for a Seniors card and you can call her an "Old Fart", if your game! On Mum's birthday we arrived at Yarra Glen before 6am for the balloon hot air balloon flight, the rain had cleared up and it was a fine day. But, the high air currents were too strong and the flight was cancelled. We still had the 5 star breakfast, all 12 of us. We still have to have the balloon flight before mid October.
Jodi took Jason down to "Arthur's Seat" on the Morning Peninsular for the day, Arthur's seat chair ride is now shut down but made them selfs at home also @ other local spots. On Mother's Day, Jodi & Jason took us for a walk through the forest to the Olinda creek, then had a coffee at the Ranges Cafe in Olinda. On Monday night for my birthday they took us out for a surprise dinner. Not many restaurants open on monday nights, so the surprise was at the Monbulk Bowling Club Bistro, good meal and we had an enjoyable night. Then the following Friday Julie & Larry Morgan came, we had lunch at the Sky High at Mt. Dandenong and a stir fry dinner that night, later Cara & Brent came for the night, we all went to Yarra Glen early next morning. Phil & Yo Heading also came as well as Syd & Dita and we all had an enjoyable 5 star breakfast.
We have some photos for you to look at.
Jodi now writing!!! It's been ages since we've spoken, i'm starting to miss you more now.
Heard you took Reese camping that's pretty cool, i told jason and his eyes lit up. LOL He wants to take me camping this weekend up @ Tolmie, it's winter here so i'm thinking it's a little cold for that.
Love to hear how you and Reese are going? Who's feeding your new pet if your both off camping? Did you take it with you? lol That would be funny...take it on a leash.
Rob Mahoney is doing better than when u spoke to him last, he's walking around on his foot now and he's considering going back to work. Still in pain put at least it's healing. We are all doing fine, my treadmile is going well just need to make more time to exsercise. But i'm sooo happy i brought it, lives in your old room Deany. Will take a photo of it some time for you!!!
Talk some time soon.

February 14 Pink or BlueThis i guess is more of a girls opinion...
Love to know what you think especially Reese!
Also to know what i should wear too?
Never been anywhere but Australia & my understanding is that our style of wedding clothes are different.
Do i buy something over their?
Yes this is a very miner part of the wedding day, but since we need to bring clothes up & a few of Dean's things we need to know so we can carry light.
What is Reese's family wearing.
December 29 family togethernessJason & i planned a day with mum & dad to see the country side where dad grew up.
We felt it would be a good family day out especially for dad to relax and enjoy himself, which dad truly deserves. Kinda felt like we where going around Australia again was lots of fun.
Despite the hot temperature and extremely bad smoke coverage it was very pleasant.
It meant heaps to me that Jason meet Aunty Faye & Uncle Bob, Jason is very much part of the Lewis family now. Jason & Bob got along well... i never knew Bob use to be a Fitter&Turner, it's probably because i was a kid when we use to see him. Family togetherness is so important i value every moment i have and try not to take it all for granted.
(We just never know how much time we have) I include Jason's family too their very much my second family.
This Christmas was our first Bouma & Lewis Christmas together, was so lovely seeing us all having a fun time together & there was such a nice feel in the air. Jason & i would love to see more of times like that together. (We didn't end up taking really any pictures, i kinda got to carry away talking but thought of you heaps Deany)
I got the biggest surprise from my Jason, for Christmas i really wanted a Jewellery box and hinted it to everyone. Completely by surprise I opened Jason's gift and there was a wooden jewellery box Jason made all himself. He spent ages perfecting it and made it just perfect. I felt so overwhelmed and very much loved. It meant so much he did all that just for me. I feel like the luckiest girl to have a prince like my Jason, I'm looking forward in growing old with him.
God has been so good to us and i give thanks to him daily. The rain over Christmas was something special, it reminds me to trust in him. Praise be to God.
November 20 Remembrance DayLast week Jacqui & Adrian got Married, once Adrian saw Jacqui he went all emotional and very much tried to keep back his tears. Was lovely being able to celebrate with them Jason & i felt privileged. Jacqui looked so beautiful for Adian, she looked like a princess.
Very proud of Jax & Adrian, even though they can only afford to live in a caravan, they have trusted God & I'm sure God will bless that in many ways.
I think that's the last of the weddings for 2006.
Deany & Reese your wedding isn't so far away looking forward to 2007. October 25 Money savingWould u believe i've never been on a plane before nor been to Tasmania? On the weekend i did both & forgot to bring the memory card, which means i have no pictures of that lovely experience. How dumb. lol
Just as well i'm not old yet (unless you call 23 old) and can still remember it.
I'm selling my Sydney plane points to a friend (Nath), this now will help with costs to see my brother & Reese in Hong Kong for their wedding! I need to start saving, hopefully be blessed with another job soon. Need heaps more money. Should sell stuff on ebay. lol
My yr 12 formal dress was stolen from the MS Op Shop in Monbulk a few weeks back. Was taken the day i put it in, who would of thought my dress was that popular.
How funny is that though. I even reported it to the local police & the officer said 'to let him know if i see someone down the street in my dress'. So now i can't use that money towards seeing you guys. But it's a pretty funny story. Mum's favourite shop. lol
Check out this site:
This site is finally up & running and i hope we get more work from them.
Designed by Dean & Jodi!!!
Family is well, dad is recovering from what ever i had. Which wasn't period pain like my doctor suggested, cause dad had it too. Otherwise i would be worried.
Mum's planning her & daddy's 28th wedding anniversary which is on the 10th November. Very long time i'm so proud of them.
October 11 SydneyMargie & David where on there way to visit us, when they had a near accident.
4 of the 6 wheel nuts broke off and if David didn't stop the front wheel would of come off.
They were towing a camper trailer and it could of been a very serious accident. (God was on their side) Having to spend the night in seymour.
But eventually came down having lunch with mummy & daddy, i had to work in my office so i missed out.
Yesterday i booked my plan tickets for jason & i to fly to Sydney for a few days. I haven't seen Grandma & my cousins since Grandpa's funeral. I'm praying that the time up there God will use us to show his grace & mercey to them some how sharing the good news of Jesus!!!
*If you can keep this in your prayers*
September 11 healingI've been swimming everyday @ the local pool, so i've decided i need to buy a full piece bathing suit instead of swimming in my bikini. lol Feels silly everyone else seems to be wearing swimming hats, goggles and all that stuff.
Been swimming for a while now & noticed it's been slowly relaxing my back muscles (pretty excited). I'll be seeing a back specialist in November, so i would love that to be of some help too.
I got a job at Ferrai formal wear in Mitcham last week, i'll be selling wedding dresses & mens suits.
So i'll be learning about this side too & of course seeking clients that want wedding photography. wink wink
So prayfully this will work out.
In October or Novermber i want to fly up to Sydney & see Grandma, God has placed her on my heart and i'm trusting it's the will of God. So prayfully God can use me in this small visit. Love for God to show his Grace to her. Jason will be coming too, this i'm sure will mean a lot to Grandma... I love jason very much.
Dean not sure if you've heard much australian news, but Steve Erwin died this week & 4 days later Peter Broche (motor racing). It's huge in the media at the moment. Both by accidents, Steve died from a stingraw barb & Peter hit a tree in a rally race.
June 26 loving the countryMum & dad had a short romantic (hehe) over night trip to Marysville, how cute are they. While i stayed home by myself and ate 2 day old left overs, got a little lazy cooking for one.
Dean you've gotta meet Cara, she is so from mum's side of the family... she's great! She's pretty similar to me actually very creative and easy going, laughs a heap too. She's living on Chapel street with her boyfriend & his mate.
Its great meeting more family, we don't really see any of ours, Cara's our closest cousin apart from Kylie.
she doesn't have any girl friends down here either, so i hope i can help her feel welcome!
My job is going well, i really need to learn how to take orders and give out the right food to the right people. It's a little more complicated then i thought. Shouldn't take long to pick up.
Jason's happy with his truck, we took it off road yesterday to see how it handles. He's never driven a 4WD before, did very well and is picking up things quickly! June 19 new jobsA good friend jacqui just got a new job, she now works for Sussan (i think in marketing the business side of it). I'm so proud of her, she'll be great at what ever she does. Gab and i visited her on Saturday, it was so nice to see her. She took us to the local beach in Parkdale, a little cold but lots of laughs.
Speaking of new jobs, i'm working too!!
It's at a winery in Silvan, hehe...nice and close. I started Saturday night, ended up finishing at 2am bit of a long night, but the people are great! It went really well, a guest spoke to my boss and said how great i was. Very encouraging especially on my first night! I bumped into Peter Heading too, he was there for the engagement party! *smiles*
Jason & i have been going out for 6months, so i thought i would take him on puffing billy yesterday! It was so much fun, we were hanging our legs out the window and having a ball. On our carriage this little kid (about 5) asked Jason if he could wind the windows down all so serious, jas jokingly started to pretended to wind the windows down. The Kid was so cute, he didn't understand what he said wrong, man i couldn't stop laughing.
On the train trip the driver had to stop the carriage, these two young girls were riding on the track and a horse went skits. No one got hurt, right infront of a no-riding sign. Jason and i couldn't get enough of the action, took a few pics, couldn't get any of the horses they run off too fast. Jason said we well and truly got our money's worth!
Dad recieved his e-bay phone today he loves it, good old trusty phones. Do you think he'll become an e-bay junky now? lol
Jason should be picking up his new 4WD this week, he made & designed the tray for it too. So i'm excited to see it all together. It will be his work and general use car. Should last him a long time. I'm thinking of selling my car next year and buying one with safer features. More of a newish model (2001/02). Gotta start saving.
May 22 busy weekMum had it really good last week, she had mothers day, dad's birthday & her birthday all in the same week. How can you not celebrate it all week, they loved it!!!
Simone Soderlund and i baked cakes & got a little creative. She made hers for mother’s day & mine was for mum & dad's birthday. Took us about 4hrs to make, we had no idea what we were doing of course, but was pretty funny. We thought it ended up tasting very nice. *hehe*
The caravan & camping show was interesting, i couldn’t find any sleeping bags, I would love a really good thermal one that's ultra hot. It gets pretty cold up here in winter, especially when you go camping. But mum & dad had a nice morning their, dad was watching out for all these stamp stands, because we wanted to win prizes. Free stuff is the best!!! He found them all, I hope dad wins something!!!
Sarah had her murder mystery party Saturday, I’ll see if I can get some pics for ya to show. Was pretty funny! May 01 i turned 23i had a fun weekend for my birthday.
Was just a little small thing with a few friends at a winery (@ Yering Station in the Yarra Valley). My parents, Jason & i had a light lunch there (brought from home- hehe), we tasted some of the selections of reds & dessert wines. Very nice wine.
As a gift Mum paid for Jason & i to have dinner at the cuckoo, their show was funny ringing cow bells and mooing. We had a ball.
Coming home from a lovely evening, i didn't realise the boys (trev, justin & jason) were scheming a plan of attack. Which was to get me back from when i threw streamers & put silly string all overTrev's car.
Not realising what was happening, i was walking to the front door & this guy pops out. It was dark and i thought it was you Dean. I was kinda excited, but seconds later pie was in my face with justin taking pictures. What good friends i have. *hehehe* I did deserve it though. (I wonder if i should get Justin & Jason back now?)
I must say it really was a good surpirse, and one way to remember trev before he heads off to camp America on Tuesday.
April 11 Jacqui & her new churchSunday i caught up with jacqui.
In the morning we went to her service together and in the arvo did the alfa course. She wants to go so she can run one for teenagers. *yay*
It's encouraging to see a friend move from an area, and still be very active straight away. What she's doing is very difficult, but with God on her side she can do it!!!
The congregation at her church are lovely, all very much older than her, but still lovely to speak with.
Yesterday i caught up with my mentor for the first time. she's a lovely woman, i'm looking forward for us to get to know each other and for her to challenge me in my walk with God.
Tomorrow it's my graduation ceremony, interesting to see how it compares to yours (Dean). Goes for 2hrs.
April 03 In paise of...Praise God, he's blessed me with a Mentor.
Two weeks before, God had convicted her on discipleship and it's not just about evangelism. She thought that's hard, time consuming & didn't know how to go about it. I thank God for finding me someone who can help me grow in my faith. She's a young mum married & with 3 kids. Met her yesterday at 10am, Lovely woman. Jason's been sick for the past week with the flu, he's on the mend. I doubt i'll catch it. *hehehe* Mum's now going to Jason's mum's fellowship group, started last Wednesday. Their studying Genises and they have homework to complete each week. She's finding it hard, but will be good for her. I think Dita will be a good friend for her. A lovely woman of God.
There's so much to do in our backyard, Jas say's you could spend about 2 weeks on it. Where going to the tip, there's a heaps of crap we need to get rid of. Jason has been such a big help, i love him very much. March 27 Near speeding fineYesterday i thought i was going to get my first speeding fine driving to Church.
I was on my way to Jason's Church in the morning, thinking i'm running a bit late, i was doing "90" in an 80's zone. But knowing my speed dial about 85. All of a sudden an undercover copp flashed his lights at me, i'm like i can't get out of this so i pulled over. They just zoomed straight passed me. Later in the service, a man was praying for things and he prayed for this accident that happened on Clegg Rd in Mt Evelyn that morning. It was a fatal accident. (People saw helicopters, very bad accident) I felt pretty bad..It's hard to know how fast i'm driving sometimes...you know what my cars like.
Tomorrow i've got my first training that i have to do at Employment Plus. Yay exciting *NOT*. Things people do to get money.
We are doing ok down here.
Where having a working B for the backyard Saturday if the weather is ok.
Jason, Justin & i will be cleaning up the yard. Mum & Dad could do with our help, i'll take some pictures of us for ya - with me getting my nails dirty. *hehe*
March 22 Talk back on the J'sI went in my room today to turned on triple j, Robby Buck and Will Anderson where hosting.
They where laughing about how they've found a t.v. at hard rubbish. Wanting anyone with stories to phone up.
I couldn't help myself...
I told the story of finding a coffee machine in this skip after a fete. Then giving it away as an engagement gift if it worked. Later on i realized your suit case story is way better. We love it *hehe*(Dean - We are silly). March 20 Life at MonbulkEverything here is i think great...
Dad is as usual working late nights and gets very tired. Mum still makes my beds and offers us hot drinks, and i'm thinking about how it's my birthday soon and should i do anything. Any ideas?
Life isn't that complex here as you see.
Dean how much room is there on your desk now, Gab and i tidied up the cords under the desk too. *hehe - you love it*
An update from mum:
"Our church at the Patch is no longer - on the 19th March (sunday) I had to give a reading from the book of John. Actually the words were hard to pronounce and it didn't make any sense. (but a chap called Dean explained it all on a screen. (It was helpful) As per usual we had a lovely lunch at the Church and there were close to 100 people there. We start at the new church (old uniting church in Moxhams Road) on the 2nd of April - and on the 9th April they have Arthur & I as stewards and on welcoming-I don't know what we have to do for a steward."
I'm still learning how to use this space, so hopefully i can keep this update with the latest pics & news. We pray for you Dean everyday.
May God bring you strength.
